Plastazote LD45 is recognised and used in conservation for many applications such as drawer lining for various specimens, coins/medals, glass photographic negatives, book rests, display supports, shipping works of art and protecting in archival storage.
This high density closed cell inert foam can be cut cleanly to most shapes using a hot knife like the 'Thermocutter', and glued together using the Low Melt Glue Gun, it can also be sculptured.
Being inert and acid free, Plastazote is also ideal for packing archival boxes to fit the object such as rare books and other valuable items that are subject to potential damage.
