Protect your collections by using archival quality polyethylene foam to line display cases, drawers, shelves and boxes. Line phase boxes for extra protection of rare books.
Archival foam type A is a flexible, closed cell, polyethylene foam which is produced using a process that results in a continuous, smooth surface. Foam has excellent chemical resistance, low water absorption and vapour transmission, superb thermal insulation and a non-abrasive, aesthetically pleasing surface.
The foam is available in a 33kgm3 density in 3mm thickness, and in either black or white. It is easily cut using scissors, paper cutter or a utility knife. Due to manufacturing processes the colours of foam may vary slightly between different batches, the specification remains the same.
Also available - Self adhesive Polyethylene tape with an acrylic adhesive backing - see Alternatives list below.
